Welcome Letter from the CEO

Welcome to the first blog post of a planned series of periodic posts from me, Mark Lucky, the CEO of Visium Technologies. Armed with the insight into upcoming business developments, it is time that we launch a CEO blog where I can communicate with shareholders and investors in a conversational style – thanks for joining us today for just a few minutes  – I wanted to give you all a quick background on the company and talk about our product as we bring some exciting news to market.

So, Visium Technologies is a public Company that currently trades on the OTC Pink sheets under the symbol VISM. The current management has been at this for a couple of years now – we have built a cybersecurity company around technology that Visium owns the exclusive license rights to, that we obtained from MITRE Corporation.  If  you are not familiar with MITRE, they are a multi-billion dollar non-profit corporation that has been around for over 60 years   – they are tasked with operating the Federally Funded Research & Development centers around the country – MITRE’s sole customer is the US Government and their mission is national-security focused on national-security. – MITRE developed a cybersecurity technology specifically for the US Army for which we hold the license rights.  US Army Cyber Command uses this technology in their cyber operations – known as CyGraph.

So, we’ve taken this technology and we’ve commercialized it, improved the user experience by making it easier to use – we built a lot of automation into it.  In fact, we have a provisional patent that is ready to be filed which is specific to the proprietary enhancements that we have made to the technology.

What does our cybersecurity technology platform do? We actually make cybersecurity intuitive and easier to perform for the security analyst .– We plug the gaps in the cybersecurity solution puzzle. For example, – let’s say you are working on a puzzle and it might be a horse, but it might be a goat… you plug in that missing piece and now you know what the picture is… – We solve the big problems in the cybersecurity world by taking the massive amounts of data that is produced every day and making it manageable and we make it understandable and actionable at a glance.

A little known fact, as reported in a study by IBM, is that the average time that elapses from a breach to detection is 9 months. So, if you’ve been breached and 8 months go by and you’re just going about your business, and then you finally realize that you have a breach, it’s obviously by then way too late to do anything about it – the damage is done.  That’s the type of problem that is all too prevalent in today’s security reality, that’s one of the problems that we address.

We address this problem because we can ingest massive amounts of data from ANY source, then analyze it in real time, and then provide a comprehensive visualization or picture of the network environment and all the data and what’s going on in the network, so that security incidents are intuitively and easily identified.  The security analyst can understand what’s going on at a glance, and drill down into the details and identify problems in real time.

I could get into the weeds with more details, but I will save that for a later post. The business opportunity that exists for Visium is truly huge, especially with  partnerships like MITRE and with our tech partners Splunk, Datadog and Tenable.  We have great reseller partners like Carahsoft, MicroTech, and Affigent and are slated to add more to the list in the future.  We are building  a pipeline of sales opportunities that will help our customers meet the greatest challenges in cybersecurity—proactively detecting potential threats and identifying breaches rapidly to minimize the damage before they accumulate over delays in breach detection.

Thank you for your interest in Visium.  Stay tuned for more updates.
